Comptia A+ Certification Study Materials I Used To Pass First Attempt

If you are starting your journey into information technology, the vendor neutral Comptia A+ certification is highly recommended. The A+ was my first i.t. certification that started my journey into cybersecurity. Fortunately the internet exists in this day and age and there are many resources to learn from in order to pass this exam with flying colors.

Here are all of the resources I used to study for the A+ exam. My study style is self learning and self motivation. Oh and coffee, lot’s of coffee. At one point I was studying 8-10 hours a day including taking practice tests. With so much studying and determination I was able to take both A+ exams and get the certification within a month. Take note that I have 10+ years in messing with i.t. stuff at home. It’s not a race. Take your time when studying.

The Mike Meyers A+ All in One certification book is what I believe the number one resource that allowed me to learn i.t. at a deep fundamental level. Many reviews will say that this book goes too deep into outdated technology. Some people will also say that this book includes material that isn’t covered at all by the A+ exam. In my opinion, you can never learn enough. Pair this book with the following online lecture courses and practice tests I mention and you will pass the A+ within a couple months.

If you bought the Mike Meyers A+ All in One certification book you should then supplement the book with the following video playlists on Youtube. Professor Messer is a well known teacher that does a great job at getting through the A+ material quickly and clearly.

While studying throughout the month I always took a practice test at the end of a study session. Even if I didn’t finish the practice tests because they were so long. I took the tests anyway to keep my brain focused on materials and to train my brain on the weirdly worded Comptia questions the A+ exam is going to ask. Comptia is known to ask tricky questions where one word can change the correct answer, pay attention to the exact question asked and don’t skim through the questions when taking the exam.

To make it sweet and short. Buy the Mike Meyers A+ All in One book, watch professor Messor on youtube, and take the practice tests I mentioned. If you dedicate the time and put in the effort. You can pass the A+ exams within a couple of months. Good luck.
