At some point in time we’ve all seen those hacker movies and thought. Wow, that’s really cool I want to do that. Fortunately for us we have a nifty penetration testing operating system called Kali Linux that allows users to test and use real world hacking tools used by pentesters.

I use the Alfa AWUS03ACS 802.11ac AC600 USB dongle for the monitoring of 2.4/5 Ghz wifi signals within Kali. I chose the dongle because it is easy to get working with Kali Linux OS and the drivers are simple to install.

The tutorial assumes you already have VirtualBox installed on your computer and that you also have the Kali Linux virtual machine version of the operating system installed as well.
